Vertical SaaS · Pre-prototype · €115k seed
An electric surfboard that rides like a classic wave board — built around NylenFleet, the operations platform that lets resorts and rental fleets run the whole show from one dashboard. Hand-laid in recycled carbon and classic fibreglass. Founder-shaped, software-anchored.
€115k seed round · 5 pilot boards · NylenFleet beta · Q3 2026 first deployment
What we actually build
We are not a hardware company.
We are a vertical SaaS company that ships boards.
The board is the customer-acquisition unit. NylenFleet is the recurring revenue, the workflow lock-in, the moat. Operators buy the platform; the hardware is how it arrives.
The electric waterjet surfboard market is going from $190M in 2025 to $1.45B in 2035 — 22.6% CAGR.
Lampuga, the largest German premium player, filed for insolvency in 2024 chasing a hardware-only consumer model. The category gap they leave behind isn't a hardware gap. It's an operator-platform gap.
No existing brand — Awake, Fliteboard, Radinn, LIND — solves the resort-and-rental operations layer. They all sell boards. They all walk away. We sit on top of that absence.
Concept render. Production photography in progress.
Two SKUs. Shaped to ride like real surfboards, not jetskis. 25 kW — more power than any waterjet board in class. ~18 kg total system weight — roughly half LIND's modular setup, thanks to a solid-state battery, a single motor, and a carbon-fibreglass hybrid that flexes the way a surfer expects.

Higher energy density, better safety in marine environments, longer cycle life. Half the weight of an equivalent Li-Ion pack. The single biggest reason our system weight comes in under LIND's.
One waterjet, not a multi-motor configuration. Simpler powertrain, lower BOM, fewer failure modes for fleet maintenance. At 25 kW we lead the pack on power without needing redundancy.
Recycled milled carbon laid with classic fibreglass — the same laminate traditional surfboards have used for decades. Pure carbon is fast and dead; the hybrid is fast and alive. Surfboard shapers have known this for forty years.

Jan Nylen
Founder, CEO & lead shaper
Windsurfing since the 1980s. Shaping his own and friends' boards for as long.
Jan founded Avoccado Tech — an AI services agency — in 2025, and runs active enterprise co-sell motions with European automotive OEMs (Volvo, Zeekr EU, TOGG, Volkswagen) on Nebula Automotive's Digital Twin engineering platform. Nylen JetSurfboards d.o.o. is where that AI / software discipline meets four decades of hands-on board craft.
The unfair advantage: most jetboard founders are engineers with no surf credibility, surfers with no software, or marketers with neither. Jan is the rare combination of shaper + software + B2B distribution. The boards are built by the founder, not outsourced to a hired shaper. The software is built by the founder's parent company. The investors get one builder, not three subcontracts.
Within 30 days of Series A
Owns the hardware platform — drivetrain, battery integration, marine compliance. Frees Jan to lead commercial + product.
Within 60 days
Owns the SaaS layer end-to-end. Converts seed-built v1 into the v2 platform.
Within 90 days
Owns pilot conversion + Fleet-tier deals. Mediterranean focus initially.
The proof point we're buying isn't "we built hardware." It's "operators will pay for the SaaS." That unlocks the Series A on vertical-SaaS comps.
